Week of Dec 10th-14th

**On Tuesday, we will be completing a Christmas Chromatography Lab. we will be using coffee filters, markers, and water to create Christmas Lights:)

** Thursday and Friday, we will be watching "The Day After Tomorrow". We will be completing a video guide looking specifically for topics that we have learned during our Hydrosphere Unit!!

**Don't forget that Voc #10 Pictionaries are due Friday. NO VOCABULARY TEST!!!!!

Inquiry Lab Day!!

Inquiry Lab:
--learning to describe the characteristics, properties, of matter
**Lab reports are due at the end of the lab. Do not forget to write your summary!!

Week of Dec 3-7th

--We will be completing our first virtual lab using GIZMO.(Forest Ecosystems)
--Vocabulary #10, introduction to Chemistry, will be due this Friday. Don't forget to study for the test!!!

Symbiotic Relationships

Symbiotic Relationships:
--4 Square is due today!!
--Ecological Relationships and Symbiotic Handout will be completed Friday after the voc test. We will be going over the second worksheet together on Monday:)

Test Corrections

Test Corrections for your Ocean/Energy Test are due by this Friday, November 30th!!
--Make sure you use the test correction form. 
--Give the correct answer and an explanation for each question that you correct. 
**Often your reason is a definition for the key word in the question!!

Week of November 26th-30th

** Wednesday will be our test on the Oceans and Energy.
--Make sure your notebooks are in order and finish up your Study Guides for extra credit.

** Friday is your Voc #9 Test. Make sure you have completed your definitions and STUDY!!!!

Great start to Science Vocabulary Testing!!!

Labor Day Week!!

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day! This week we will begin learning about the Hydrosphere and what it involves. Also. we will discuss the main properties of water: surface tension, capillary action, universal solvent, and high specific heat.

We will also be performing two different scientific inquiries and learning to generate lab reports based on our data.
